Volunteer Press Officer

Insure Our Survival is seeking a volunteer to give 2-4 hours a week to building press capabilities. This role includes a degree of consulting with the core team and liaising ongoing to ensure alignment with strategy. The Volunteer Press Officer will be building the press list and growing relationships with media figures and journalists, as well as researching tactics and directions for possible press campaigns, and assessing how they may fit into the strategy. During key campaign moments, the press officer may be involved in creating and distributing press releases and helping to ensure press coverage of campaigns.

Volunteer Social Media Officer

Insure Our Survival is seeking a volunteer to give 2-4 hours a week to building social media capabilities. This role includes working closely with the core team to agree on campaigning, messaging and tone. The Volunteer Social Media Officer will be creating written and visual material for Instagram, BlueSky and X, and scheduling it online. The Social Media Officer’s work should fit with Insure Our Survival’s copy guidelines and strategy. During key campaign moments, the social media officer may be attending actions to capture footage and photography, and livestream.

Volunteer Action Planner

Insure Our Survival is seeking a volunteer to give 2-4 hours a week to help plan actions for 2026. This role includes working closely with the core team to understand strategic direction, tactics, aesthetic, messaging and action design. The Volunteer Action Planner will be helping to mobilise and possibly scout out locations, online or in person, if possible. They may be carrying out research and planning that match the needs of the core team.
